Wanted! Lodgings Providers

Lodgings Providers need an understanding and appreciation of young people. All placements are assessed on a regular basis and a HIT worker remains in contact with both the Provider and the young person.

All our Projects operate according to our Equal Opportunities Policy. This is to ensure that individuals are not discriminated against in any way. Within this framework Lodgings Providers are able to say what kind of help they could offer. If a young person is suitable for the Supported Lodgings Scheme, the Lodgings Provider will be given any necessary information, within the framework of our Confidentiality Policy, before setting up a meeting.

If both parties want to continue, an agreement is drawn up, that will outline the terms of the accommodation including any House Rules. A HIT worker will stay in contact to ensure smooth running of the agreement. If problems occur that cannot be resolved, steps are taken by HIT and the Lodgings Provider to move the young person into more suitable accommodation.
