Cappadocia to Egirdir / Medrese

Next to the mosque, it is usual to find a medrese, or school. The main curriculum in such a school would be learning the Koran. The ‘eyvans’ (blind arches) on either side would have been teaching areas, with the building at the end as a prayer area. The whole complex is now used as shops.
