Welcome to the start of my model making pages. I have been making models since I was a young boy & still spending time on this hobby when I can. I used to do small 1/25 & 1/72 scales but now tend to be larger scale, so starting to take over the "workroom" & all available surfaces (apologies to my wife here for nicking her ironing board, dining table, pegs, cloths & anything else I need when making them). I make all kinds of model includig Sci-Fi, ships, & aircraft which I try to add detail too, but my favourite type are the larger 1/12 scale car kits & large scale armour. As well as the usual "Tamiya" kits I also build, when I can get them the "Doyusha" 1/12 scale car range, These kits, if you haven't made one, have excellent detail, are well packaged to avoid damage to parts, & fit well with little or no "flash". I have started to get into more airbrushing of the models & have recently got a compressor to save on the cost of 'canned air' in the U.K.. I want to start doing stencil work & better weathering & paint effects, so as time goes on you should see these in the models. I visit my local model show in Crewe, which is held in late February, & try to get to Telford in November & any other shows, when work allows, to see what other modellers have made, get tips & take photo's of their models for my reference. I have got in the "to do pile" some car kits
& a couple of 1/32 aircraft. In 2010 I plan to get back into kit bashing/
scratch work by making some form of sci-fi ship from old parts &
some part built kits I managed to aquire. COMPLETED :- Building the Bandai
