This habit style of the 1880s and 1890s period was made in maroon and green herringbone patterned cloth (giving a brown appearance) from the P16 and P17 dressmaking patterns available from Side Saddle Lady. The bodice is boned and has self-covered buttons; the back (shown below), has the fashionable 'tails' of the time.
