1920s Bowler Hat
This style of soft felt bowler hat with wide, flat brim began to be used in the late 1890s for side-saddle riding, soon becoming popular with equestriennes in England, and replacing the tight brim curl of the late nineteenth century. The flat brim was probably at its widest design in the 1920s, reducing in size in the 1930s.
